Bake-your-own, gluten-free rustic and focaccia bread with sackfuls of ancient-grain flavour, heaps of artisanal flair, and zero nasties.
Just add yeast, sugar, salt and water or baking powder, salt and water.
We wanted to be as inclusive as possible, whilst still creating a delicious, wholesome, and simple bread mix, so give these recipes a go...
Instructions for a 300g Rustic Bake
Add 300g bread mix to a bowl.
Add a small tsp of salt and sugar, 2 tsp of yeast and mix well.
Add 280g warm water and mix well till the mixture turns thick.
Cover and leave in a warm place for one hour to rise.
Turn out and gently stretch and fold till the dough is smooth.
Shape and place on a baking tray cover and leave in a warm place for 30 mins.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Bake on the middle shelf, turn the oven down to 180 degrees and bake for 50 mins.
Leave to cool on a wire rack.
Instructions for a 300 g Focaccia Bake
Add 300 g Focaccia mix to a bowl.
Add a small teaspoon of salt and sugar, 2 teaspoons of yeast and mix well.
Add 180 g of warm water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil and mix well.
Cover and leave in a warm place for 1 hour to rise.
Turn out and gently stretch and fold the dough till smooth.
Shape so the dough is roughly 2 inches thick and place onto a baking tray.
Press your fingers into the dough and generously pour olive oil over.
Top with rosemary and sea salt, cover and leave for 30 mins to rise again
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Turn down the oven to 180 degrees, place on the middle to high shelf and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
Enjoy the bakes with some yummy homemade jam or cold meats, chutneys and dips.
